True story: We really like the Fifty Shades trilogy. While it isn’t our lifestyle, it’s terrifically sexy and has a happy ending. Like a legitimate happy ending.
So when we were hired for a shoot in Asheville, NC, that required an overnight stay, we found an AirBNB called Fifty Shades of Luxury. It’s among several themed rooms on a property named Utopia, and that one, well, inspires the imagination, we’ll say :)
Anyway, while we were there, we did some fun boudoir photography in our room, with Jill as model. On the way home, she proposed that we create a Fifty Shades-inspired set for One Soul Boudoir. Thus came our Anastasia theme and the Red Room. For our version, we adorned the space with curiosities, special lighting and evocative furnishings. We even tracked down a human-sized bird cage in Washington state and had it shipped here.
To inspire you, here are a few pics from both the Asheville AirBNB and our own set.
