2. Your session and the portraits we create
Portrait session privacy
Your portrait session is private. This includes the fact that it was booked and occurred, as well as the conversations and activities that take place during your session. Your identity as a client remains private unless you agree to a marketing request from us that would necessarily reveal your identity.
Portrait privacy
You also are afforded some privacy regarding the portraits that we create during your session.
Our standard agreement stipulates that One Soul may use for marketing any portrait in which the client is identifiable AND is clothed in a way that nipples and groin are not visible. So, a client wearing a covering piece of lingerie would be acceptable for us to use.
In that marketing usage, your face might be recognizable to those who know you, but your name and contact information will not be associated without your permission.
Our agreement also says that we may use for marketing any portrait in which a client’s nipples or groin are visible but the client is not identifiable, i.e., no facial features or identifying marks like moles or tattoos can be seen.
Optional privacy addendum
When a client wants absolute privacy, we’ll happily include a privacy addendum at no charge that affords the client with ironclad privacy. No portraits will ever be used in marketing unless the client first posts them in a public space online.
How long we keep the portraits we create
We keep portraits on file at least until we’ve delivered all the art products that we owe the client or may in the future wish to offer the client. To minimize risk exposure, we periodically purge our system of completed work not so reserved to make room for new files.
How we protect retained files
Retained files are stored on redundant, limited-access, external storage devices. Our network is protected by sophisticated firewall and access control systems and is not remotely accessible.
